Influence of PBF‐EB Parameters on Transformation Temperatures and Pseudoelasticity of Shape Memory Nickel Titanium

Electron beam powder bed fusion (PBF-EB) is used to manufacture dense nickel titanium parts using various parameter sets, including the current, scan speed and post cooling condition. The density of manufactured NiTi are investigated with relation linear energy input. results implies part increases increasing over 98% bulk density. With a constant input, combination low power leads denser parts. This attributed lower electrostatic repulsive forces from number impacting electrons. After manufacturing, densest distinct sets categorized into three groups: i) high vacuum slow cooling, ii) iii) medium rate in helium gas. Among these, faster suppresses phase transformation temperatures, while combinations do not affect temperatures significantly. All printed this study exhibit almost 8% pseudoelasticity regardless process parameters, cooled have higher dissipation efficiency (1−η), which damping oscillations. article protected by copyright. rights reserved.
